KVM hypervisor
Create virtual instances with KVM, a Type 1 hypervisor that provides a better virtualization platform and helps you resume business effortlessly during data loss / technical breakdown.
Virtualize physical machines and VMware servers within seconds!
Connect faster to your VMs with RemotePC™
Respond to disasters, software issues, and server failures instantly by virtualizing the latest recovery points of the machines. You can create virtual instances of your backed-up machines on the BMR device and the cloud. You do not require any additional hardware or hypervisor as both the IDrive BMR device and IDrive cloud platform are built-in with the simple yet powerful KVM hypervisor. This makes BMR instant virtualization suitable for achieving high availability of machines and an effective Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution.
With RemotePC, you can now connect to your VMs faster by pre-installing RemotePC on your client machines.
Starts from $39.50/year

Instant local virtualization allows a protected system to be virtualized and hosted on the IDrive BMR device
Create virtual instances with KVM, a Type 1 hypervisor that provides a better virtualization platform and helps you resume business effortlessly during data loss / technical breakdown.
Virtualize your machines within a few seconds. With IDrive BMR, your business can be up and running even during a technical breakdown; thereby helping you avoid downtime.
BMR device is configured with Intel Xeon series server-grade processor, latest DDR4 with ECC as memory modules and is equipped with a server-grade power supply that has high reliability. This configuration makes the BMR device an ideal device for virtualization.
Data backups are not affected, as you can continue backing up data from the virtualized machine. The latest backed up data will be available for restore when your system is up again.
All the recovery points created during data backup are not interdependent on each other in the backup chain. Hence, if any previous recovery point is deleted or corrupted you still can create virtual machines with the latest available recovery points.
View detailed information on CPU, memory, disk and network utilization metrics of the virtualized instance. This helps you in configuring the virtual instance with optimal hardware parameters.
Recovery points used for virtualization are cloned instantly. Hence the original data remains unaffected as the cloned data is used for creating the VM.
Initialize virtual instances of your protected machines on the secure IDrive cloud
Instant data recovery is achievable via dual means: on-site using the IDrive BMR device and on the IDrive cloud. Both the device and the cloud platform are integrated with the KVM-based hypervisor for instant virtualization without additional hardware requirement.
IDrive cloud uses SSD / NVMe backed caching for optimal performance, thus enabling maximum throughput for the virtual instances.
The IDrive cloud file system employs self-healing functions that routinely check for any unexpected data integrity errors and attempts to fix them as and when they are detected during the scan.
Recovery points used for cloud virtualization are cloned instantly. Hence the original data remains unaffected as the cloned data is used for creating the virtual instance.
Create up to 4 virtual instances — both on the device and on the cloud — taking into account the RAM configuration of your device and the memory available for cloud virtualization.
Initiate a virtual instance either on the local BMR device or on the IDrive cloud, based on your requirements and the storage and memory configurations of your plan.
Create the virtual machine by selecting the required client, recovery points for the given volumes, the number of processors for the virtual machine, and memory value.
Once you build a virtual machine you can click 'Connect' against the virtual machine and access and work on the restored data.
